Description
Proudly parading his colors as he glides by, this Bufflehead was visitingthis the small pond at the Wildlife Refuge, right in front of the office windows. Intermittently he was diving for sticklebacks and enjoying a hearty meal.
With signs of spring the waterbirds are already starting to pair up to look for nesting sites.
I really enjoyed the patterns he was creating on the water.

What a beautiful bird and so elegantly marked and colored. Lovely capture. l/fv

Thank you very much. Tricky to photograph unless the light is right and catches the iridescence.

Thank you very much, Elizabeth. A bit tricky catching the colors, but this time the light was with me.
