Proof, yet again, that the scene doesn’t need to be expansive to be eye-catching. Great vision, I’ina. - Mike (V/F)

Fantastic image. I'm just in awe at these beautiful colors and textures! So delighted you love tidal streams!! F/L+++

I'ina Van Lawick replied:

Thank you, Nancy. I still stop here every time I pass. Have not hit it at sunrise lately, like in this photo. Yes, the energy of tides is awesome, watching the changes as the flats appear with the different birds that love the morsels hidden in the mud.

Beautiful capture. Strong orange patches of land are beautifully balanced with much cooler, steel-like surfaces. All reflected in water but more muted. It's almost an abstract painting.

I'ina Van Lawick replied:

Thank you, Yvonne. One of my favorite stops.

About I'ina Van Lawick

I'ina Van Lawick

i'ina Van Lawick My love has always been Nature. Photography started for me when my grandmother gave me an ancient Kodak Box Camera when I was 11 years old. In Art School Photography was an important elective for me besides my Major in Metalsmithing. Now that Carpal Tunnel to both wrists nixed my ability to work with metal I have taken up photography again after being introduced to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge near Olympia, WA; and consequently, digital photography. What a find. Not only do I now enjoy pursuing my love for nature photography, but I am also enjoying my work as a Volunteer in the Refuge's Environmental Education Program for our schools, and keeping the Refuge's photo files supplied with nature shots for their...
