Description
Multiple Canada Geese are gathering again to forage, before continuing on their journey North.
The Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually NWR is a favorite stopping place for many migrating birds in this tremendous flyway.
When they fly up, the sounds of thousands of birds fill the air. An incredible experience.
Phototraph digitally manipulated for more painterly look.

Beautiful capture of both the geese and the landscape, I'ina! I don't think I'll ever tire of watching them take off or land, amazing birds! l/f

This is my new favorite, I'ina! It's a cathedral to nature, the pale gold trees so wondrous, so beautiful! I'm sharing to my FB so that everyone can enjoy this moment with the geese! F/L+++

Wow, this is beautiful especially with the background colorful foliage, very well done! l/f
I'ina Van Lawick replied:
Thank you very much, Felix. It is always so lovely to see the signs of impending spring, with the sap bringing in colors, some really soft and tender, some strong, like the yellow in the willows.
