Description
My first efforts in digital photography were with a small Canon Powershot after selling my 35mm camera and lenses 13 years before. This was when I had a huge garage sale to fund my move out to the West coast.
My dog in the back of my little Toyota pick-up, I drove cross-country on one of the most amazing trips in my life; getting to know the country that accepted me as a citizen after moving to what has become my true home, the State of Washington.
I had just experienced my introduction to the National Wildlife Refuge, and realized that I really needed to get a camera again.
The distance shots taken by this camera had quite a bit of noise.
This was the first time I had seen a Pintail Duck and loved the patterns and monochromatic coloring that I saw through the lens.
To rescue some of my favorite images I was able to use some settings in PSE, after taking classes at the local community college in how to use this Photoshop process.
This image has been digitally enhanced to bring out the beauty of this landscape and get rid of the noise.

I'ina, this is simply stunning. f/l

Thank you so much, Cindy. A beautiful duck, and very shy, so one has to creep up on it.
