Description
Today the green berries on the Red Osier Dogwood trees must have been just ripe enough for the birds. Everywhere I walked on the trails these trees were being visited by songbirds feasting on the berries.
Must be the flavor, for these green berries eventually turn white.
A very shy bird, normally, the Swainson's Thrush was suddenly there in front of me. I have been hearing them all over the Refuge these past weeks, but never got close enough for a photograph until this moment.

Wonderful photo of a Swainson's Thrush in a natural pose, with great clarity, perspective, and composition, I'ina! F/L
