This sounds a far-fetched but I swear it is true. Family lore has it that the Lincoln’s were great friends of my family. Apparently my great-grandfather played on the White House lawn with the Lincoln kids, and rode on Abe’s shoulders. I assume Robert may have been one of the two kids. A well-done editing- it really helps to bring history to life. F

About I'ina Van Lawick

I'ina Van Lawick

i'ina Van Lawick My love has always been Nature. Photography started for me when my grandmother gave me an ancient Kodak Box Camera when I was 11 years old. In Art School Photography was an important elective for me besides my Major in Metalsmithing. Now that Carpal Tunnel to both wrists nixed my ability to work with metal I have taken up photography again after being introduced to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge near Olympia, WA; and consequently, digital photography. What a find. Not only do I now enjoy pursuing my love for nature photography, but I am also enjoying my work as a Volunteer in the Refuge's Environmental Education Program for our schools, and keeping the Refuge's photo files supplied with nature shots for their...
