The sunflower seeds I so carefully planted in Spring are producing some glorious offspring.
When on a photo op I also keep an eye out for background textures.
I decided this old plank was a perfect cool background for the colorful warm palette of the flower.
It gives the feeling of ithe sunflower growing next to an old barn out in the countryside, a mood I always enjoy.

In Art School Photography was an important elective for me besides my Major in Metalsmithing. Now that Carpal Tunnel to both wrists nixed my ability to work with metal I have taken up photography again after being introduced to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge near Olympia, WA; and consequently, digital photography.
