Description
One of the wonderful views from the New Dike Trail at the Wildlife Refuge.
Always bright and
colorful as the seasons change and attract large numbers of waterbirds to enjoy foraging when the tide is out, or fishing when the water flows back in.
The Pacific Flyway passes right over WA and the wild birds are a feast for the eyes.
In the background is the Chief Joseph Leschi Slough. He was a member of the Nisqually Tribe and a highly respected Elder.
