Description
The prickly fruit of the edible chestnut has unloaded its feast
and the squirrels are celebrating.
I noticed one of these rascals with a pile of unopened ones next to her
and munching on one of the chestnuts gleaned from the fallen abundance.
By time I got my camera out she had disappeared.
Aaaaaaargh!!
This memory of the atumn day makes me chuckle every time
and the beauty of the hull has been preserved in this image.

P.S. It really is fun watching the squirrels figure out which is the least prickly way to pick it up in their mouths. Nature always has a chuckle for us.
