Description
This was my sunrise view from the Ranger's cabin at Fort Worden, WA.
The Hood Canal enters the San Juan de Fuca Strait here with many sightings of wildlife in the water and sky.
The binoculars are ready on the table.
A dear friend worked there as a Volunteer and stayed in the cottage when she was on duty. So it was a real treat to spend a long week-end with her there and and be guided around the Park.
The area is beautiful and has quite a bit of history.
This image of the cabin's interior has been created from one of my photographs.

Thanks, Pennie. It really was such a treat to stay there, and get up to such a lovely day, and witness the play of sunlight within the rooms.

This is wonderful work! I would definitely hang this photograph in just about any room - because it gives you an extra window! You can never have too many windows!
I'ina Van Lawick replied:
Thank you very much, Mary Ann. The print actually hangs near a window and I experience a double take every time I look that way.

Beautiful image! Your treatment is great and I especially love the contrast of the lines of the window with the lines of the shadows:-) l/f
