Description
Barn Swallow on the Nisqually Estuary Boardwalk Trail at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually, NWR.
She was part of a small colony nesting in the eaves of one of the overlooks.
I managed to get there as the sun was just rising.

I'ina Van Lawick replied:
Thank you, Nancy. Love your reaction. Such busy little birds when in the air, and so graceful. They fly low over water and pick up quick scoops for drinking. Amazing to watch.
