Description
These two recently fledged Barn Swallows were having a friendly little chatter with their sweet melodious voices.
Photographed from the Nisqually River Estuary Boardwalk Trail at low tide.
With the Barn Owl destroying their nests at the wildlife refuge's barns, the swallows are moving farther out and building their nests in the nooks and crannies of the Boardwalk.
They often perch on branches of driftwood that have washed up from McCallister Creek, which runs alongside the Boardwalk, into Puget Sound.

So sweet capture!!!!Their story is very impressive,I'ina !!!(F/L)
I'ina Van Lawick replied:
Thank you, Latha. They don't give up. As soon as the nest is torn down, they start rebuilding, until is becomes a total waste of time.

This is beautiful! What did you pay them to sit still? :) Your beautiful and identified bird image has been featured by Wild Birds Of The World, a nature photography group. L/F
I'ina Van Lawick replied:
Thank you very much for the feature, William. A contented moment in the sun makes them reluctant to take off.
